Francis Michael
In 1709, Michel took British citizenship and became Francis Michael, living with Anna and their children at King William, Virginia, his first colony, where he lived until 1746 when the record on him goes blank at age 71. Shown here is King William County's courthouse built in 1725, the nation's oldest. Francis had urged its construction.
